I’ve consulted with groups of varying sizes for various durations throughout my practice both within the restaurant sector and without. I focus very heavily on cash management, margin enhancement, cash flow generation, cap-ex planning, debt procurement and management as well as departmental management. I picked this picture because I feel it represents my philosophy on how a CFO should work - anytime, anywhere. Being at the operating location is every bit as valid and often more valid than camped out at a corporate office somewhere. Even when being remote, getting to know the field team is very useful and very important. Moreover, working anytime, anywhere allows for the greatest efficiency and impact vs wandering around an office in search of a meeting.
